Choose a therapist
We recommend that you read:
Before choosing a therapist, consider some of the following questions:
- Do I prefer to work with a therapist of particular gender?
- Do I prefer a younger therapist or an older one?
- Is my presenting issue listed on the therapist's profile under their areas of expertise?
All our psychotherapists or specialists are trained to work with clients of different ages. However you may find that a certain gender or age of therapist suits you better as a client. Sometimes, this depends on the nature of your presenting issues. For example if you are seeking therapy to address concerns related to your sexuality, you may feel more comfortable discussing this topic with a therapist of a particular gender.
