A neurodivergent-friendly space where your mind is truly understood

Finding the right therapist is often less about choosing a service and more about finding a place where you finally feel seen. A place where your way of thinking is not misunderstood, dismissed or squeezed into someone else’s mould. Here, neurodivergent experiences are honoured and welcomed with genuine warmth. Whether you identify as autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, highly sensitive or are simply exploring what makes you “you,” this is a therapeutic space built to meet you where you are.

Many clients arrive carrying the weight of years spent masking or adapting to environments that were not designed for the way their mind naturally works. They have been told they are too intense or not focused enough; too quick or too slow; too emotional or not emotional at the right times. Here, you do not need to perform, mask or translate yourself. You can exhale. You can be yourself in all your complexity.

Understanding neurodivergent lives

Neurodivergence is not a label - it is a lived reality. It is the way your thoughts move rapidly, perhaps creatively or intensely. It is the depth of your focus, your sensory responses, your emotional landscape, your pattern-spotting, your imagination. Your strengths and your struggles existing side by side.

This therapeutic approach acknowledges that neurodivergent people often navigate the world with extraordinary resourcefulness. You may experience overwhelm, difficulty with transitions, sensory overload, perfectionism, burnout cycles, identity questions or a lifetime of being told your brain works “incorrectly”. Therapy should never reinforce that narrative! Instead, it can become the place where you reclaim your voice, your preferences, your pace and your truth.

Sessions are shaped collaboratively. You are encouraged to communicate in the ways that feel natural - directness, tangents, movement, metaphor, silence, humour or intensity. Nothing is too much here. You set the rhythm and together we explore what your mind has been holding.

The relief of being understood

So many neurodivergent adults have spent decades masking - working hard to appear calm, organised, intuitive or socially effortless. Masking may have helped you survive, but it also comes at a cost. In therapy, you are invited to set that weight down.

Here, the things you have been criticised for are approached with curiosity, not judgment. The forgotten tasks, the overwhelm, the procrastination-perfectionism loop, the emotional intensity, the sensory sensitivity, the restlessness, the indecision - these are not moral failings. They are clues, stories, and patterns that make perfect sense when understood through a neurodivergent lens.

Clients often describe a sense of relief - a softening - as they discover that their experiences are not unusual or wrong. Being met with understanding can be life-changing. Being celebrated for your uniqueness can be transformative.

ADHD assessments available from February 2026

From February 2026, we will offer comprehensive, evidence-based ADHD assessments for adults seeking clarity about their neurodivergence. These assessments are designed to be respectful, sensitive and grounded in nationally recognised guidance for neurodevelopmental care.

You can expect an assessment that is holistic, research-informed, trauma-aware, affirming and collaborative.

About medication and prescribing

While this service provides diagnostic assessments, we do not prescribe medication. If, after assessment, you wish to explore medical treatment, your final report can be shared with a psychiatrist or another qualified prescribing clinician who can discuss medication options with you. Many clients find it helpful to combine a psychologically rich assessment with separate medical input, ensuring a well-rounded and informed approach to care.

Qualified, experienced and evidence-based care

Every clinician involved in this service is highly trained, experienced and committed to delivering work that meets professional, ethical, and evidence-based standards. Our approach draws on the same research base and best-practice frameworks used throughout UK clinical settings, ensuring that your experience is both warm and clinically robust.

We work in alignment with recognised guidance for the assessment and understanding of ADHD and other neurodevelopmental profiles. This includes clear clinical reasoning, ethical practice, regular specialist supervision, ongoing professional development and strong clinical governance.

Therapy that works with your brain, not against it

Traditional therapeutic models sometimes assume a neurotypical communication style or emotional rhythm. This can inadvertently leave neurodivergent clients feeling misunderstood or mismatched. Here, therapy is adapted to suit you.

Together, we may explore burnout, overwhelm, emotional regulation, identity questions, unmasking, self-esteem, relationship dynamics, communication differences and practical strategies that honour your natural rhythms.

If you are neurodivergent, curious or looking for a space that understands – you are welcome here!

Whether you are newly exploring neurodivergence, seeking a formal ADHD assessment or simply looking for a therapist who understands your experiences, this practice offers warmth, insight and deep respect for your story.

Your mind is not a problem to be solved. It is a story worth understanding. And this is a space where that understanding begins.
